‘Apprise’ composed by Chris Gray
In October 2017 Chris was commissioned by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Equality & Diversity Fund to compose music for Black History Month. This piece forms a part of the Merchant City project, led in collaboration with Lori Watson, to bring to the forefront and illustrate the extent of Scotland’s role in the slave trade.
Elizabeth R – The Queen of our Time
‘Elizabeth R – The Queen of our Time’ was composed by Pipe Major Ian Hughes, Royal Air Force Central Scotland Pipes & Drums, as a thank you to Her Majesty the Queen. I was honoured to have been asked to make this arrangement, recorded here by the Royal Air Force Central Scotland Pipes & Drums with The Central Band of the Royal Air Force (RAF Music) and also myself on pipes.
All proceeds will be donated to YoungMinds, a charity fighting for young people’s mental health.
YoungMinds is a cause close to The Royal Family and HM’s Armed Forces.
