Chris provides tuition for all ages and levels. This includes one-to-one lessons in person or online (using Zoom/Skype) as well as group workshops.
Tuition is tailored to suit your goals and could cover:
- Piano (range of styles including classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre, folk/trad arrangements and accompaniment)
- Preparation for ABRSM & Trinity graded piano & theory exams
- Piping (Highland & Border Pipes)
- Low Whistle
- Music Theory & Composition
- Sibelius Music Notation Software

Chris’ teaching experience includes holding positions as a piping instructor at St Columba’s School, Kilmacolm and being a lecturer at the Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Previous posts include being a piano instructor at Riverside Music College (Glasgow) and a piping tutor at the Scots College, Sydney (Australia). Chris has also taught at the Italian Spring Piping School 2014, National Piping Centre evening classes, Beatroute Arts Centre, Outreach Projects across Scotland with the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland and Feis nan Gaidheal. Chris has full PVG disclosure.
